The Green Committee of the Reservoir Hill Association is dedicated to fostering a sustainable, beautiful, and environmentally friendly neighborhood. In line with RHA’s mission to improve the quality of life for all residents and create a thriving urban community, the Green Committee focuses on enhancing our local parks, increasing green spaces, promoting sustainable practices, and improving the natural environment of Reservoir Hill.
Do you have nearby tree or tree bed that needs some TLC? Would you like to add a tree well where there is currently concrete?
We are currently looking for blocks that want to improve or transform their tree canopy. Complete the interest form below to share a tree or trees that you would like to adopt during the upcoming 2025-26 growing season.
Sapling trees survive when someone can provide love and nourishment for the first three years of life. Are you ready commit? Can you get your neighbors to commit too?
Through the support of TreeBaltimore and SCRD we are looking for focus blocks to improve the tree canopy.
Click on the button below to adopt a tree today and have your neighbors do the same. We are looking for blocks with the most stewards to apply for large grant funding for this upcoming season.

The Green Committee plays a central role in maintaining and beautifying our neighborhood’s outdoor spaces and promoting environmental stewardship. Our work includes:
Park and Recreation Area Maintenance: We coordinate with city services and community volunteers to maintain and improve Reservoir Hill’s parks and recreation areas, making them safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone.
Tree Planting and Landscaping: The Green Committee works on tree-planting initiatives, landscaping projects, and beautification efforts that enhance the neighborhood’s natural beauty and support biodiversity. Our projects include adding trees, flower beds, and other greenery to public spaces.
Recycling and Waste Management: We promote sustainable practices by encouraging recycling and responsible waste disposal throughout the neighborhood. The committee works with residents to raise awareness of best practices and to address any issues related to waste collection and recycling.
Community Clean-Up Days: Through our popular Green UP Clean UP! events, we gather residents to clean, beautify, and care for specific areas of the neighborhood. These hands-on events foster community pride, encourage environmental responsibility, and offer a chance for neighbors to work together.
Advocacy for Environmental Issues: The Green Committee also advocates for policies and practices that promote sustainability and environmental protection, coordinating with the Issues & Education Committee on larger projects or initiatives that impact Reservoir Hill.
If you’re passionate about the environment, love green spaces, or want to make a tangible difference in your community, we invite you to join the Green Committee. By participating, you can help make Reservoir Hill cleaner, greener, and more beautiful for everyone.
Joining the Green Committee is a great way to get involved in community-driven projects, connect with neighbors, and advocate for environmental improvements. Whether you’re interested in helping with clean-up events, supporting tree-planting efforts, or promoting sustainable practices, your involvement is valuable to the committee and the community.
