The Historic Reservoir Hill Garden & Home Tour began in the mid-1990s as a grassroots effort to celebrate and preserve the beauty of the neighborhood. What started as the Secret Garden Tour, inspired by Glenda and Paul Gentner’s vision to highlight Reservoir Hill’s historic charm, has grown into a signature community event now celebrating its 30th year.

Today, the Tour invites visitors to explore the neighborhood through a self-guided experience featuring thoughtfully curated homes and gardens. Along the way, guests discover the architectural character, creative expression, and vibrant green spaces that make Reservoir Hill a standout Baltimore community.

If you’ve ever thought about participating, the Garden & Home Tour is a welcoming opportunity to share your space and be part of a cherished neighborhood tradition. Whether it’s your full home, a single room, or an outdoor space, each stop adds to the story of Reservoir Hill...past and present. First-time hosts bring fresh energy and new perspectives, while returning hosts help ground the experience in the Tour’s rich history. 

More than a showcase, this two-day event brings together neighbors, visitors, local businesses, and preservation advocates in a shared celebration of community and pride.

The 2026 Tour runs from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. Guests must begin at the Welcome Desk at Reservoir Hill Park (Lennox Street entrance), where they can check in and receive a Tour map and Tour lanyard. Each featured home, garden and community space will be clearly marked along the route.

Hosts are asked to have someone onsite during Tour hours to welcome visitors and interact with guests. Our team will provide guidance in advance and offer support throughout the weekend.
