Community Composting 101 at the Lennon Street Community Garden

Join the Department of Public Works, the University of Maryland Extension and the Reservoir Hill Association Green Committee to learn how to reduce/reuse/recycle by keeping your food-waste out of landfills.
Time: Sunday, May 29, 2022, 10:30a.m. to 12:00p.m
Where: The Lennox Street Community Garden is located at 728-732 Lennox St., Baltimore MD 21217
Learn how composting will help support the restoration of the Chesapeake Bay and keep the Reservoir Hill community green by using community and yard compost hubs.
Participants will be entered into a raffle for their own compost bin!
We will also give out 25 reusable shopping bags, first come, first served – courtesy of DPW. UMD Extension will provide educational literature on composting.
Bring a container with some kitchen scraps to get the compost started and leave with some finished compost for your garden!
