Juneteenth is designed to support the healing journey of neighbors and families as we commemorate the end of slavery, reflect on the current state of Black America, and envision future freedoms. The community will be exposed to resources including financial literacy and homebuyer’s education, cultural arts, and traditional and alternative therapy services. In addition to offering social service resources, residents will have the opportunity to exchange stories of strength and resilience through poetry, live performances, and facilitated workshops. The Reservoir Hill Juneteenth Freedom Celebration is for everyone who wants to celebrate black history and shape our future with intention and hope. The community is tapping into the talents of Baltimore City’s creators and producers. There will be plenty of opportunities to experience the day through art, food, and music. While this day is meant to be a celebration for all, we are emphasizing health and safety as we continue to battle the Covid-19 pandemic. This event is a proud collaboration between Reservoir Hill Association, Upper Eutaw Madison Neighborhood Association, the Friends of German Park, and the Reservoir Hill Improvement Council.Name *FirstLastEmail *EmailConfirm EmailPhone *In preparation for the event, I would like to volunteer: *to canvass and help people sign up for vaccinations.to help with park and green space beautification efforts.I do not want to volunteer before the day of the event.OtherNextOpportunities on Juneteenth On the day of the event, volunteers are asking to contribute at least three hours of their time to help the event run smoothly.
